About this Film

A Ghost Story

ODEON says...
‘A Ghost Story’ follows a lonely spirit’s years-long quest for closure, after being killed in a car accident, as he haunts the house he used to live in.

Quietly observing his wife as she grieves and goes about her life, he sees her leave their home behind – but is unable to move on himself. Trapped in the house, he witnesses many others come and go in his silent search for peace.

Melancholy, eerie and deeply moving, ‘A Ghost Story’ is a haunting drama starring Casey Affleck and Rooney Mara.

A Ghost Story

Reviewer: MareePSasjaDate: 2017-08-17

This film will not suit those who need to have all the answers provided. But it's beautiful - a slow contemplation of grief and the questioning of whether time is lineal. The music is gorgeous. That sheeted figure is surprisingly expressive. See it.

A Ghost Story

I found the film to be a slow meditation on the beauty - yet insignificance - of life. Well done Odeon for screening this ! It is a film for the viewer more in tune with the artistry of cinema and who is comfortable being challenged by the plot.

A24 Strikes!

I guess you can't impress the mainstream audiences, but A24 strikes gold once again with A Ghost Story. This is the most emotional movie I have ever seen and the way this film builds from beginning to end is remarkable. It's a beautiful film.

We just got back from cinema after watching A Ghost Story, O M G it was so boring all about a ghost who walks around throughout the film with a sheet over his head, I would like to know who put the holes in the sheet for his eyes . Slow and stupid.
