About this Film

Victoria And Abdul

ODEON says...
'Victoria And Abdul’ chronicles the unlikely true story of the friendship between Queen Victoria and a young Indian clerk called Abdul, who had travelled to England for the Golden Jubilee.

He’d expected to wait tables, but found himself working as Victoria’s personal attendant. Within a year, he had become a powerful figure at court; but their controversial friendship nearly led to a revolt in the royal household.

A true story of a friendship that survived every attempt to destroy it, ‘Victoria And Abdul’ sees Judi Dench reprise the role of Queen Victoria, 20 years after first playing her in ‘Mrs Brown’.

Six reasons why Victoria and Abdul is a must see.

Wonderful

Another wonderful film from national treasure Dame Judy with hints of humour but also sadness. Excellent supporting cast, a film I would watch again.

Great film

Good film my husband and I both enjoyed it very much. No violence. At times amusing at times very sad. Just goes to show how badly some people react to unforeseen unusual circumstances. If true certain people showed there true colours

Crown Queen Judi

If you want to laugh out loud, smile, chuckle - then go and see Victoria and Abdul! Superlative performances from Judi Dench and Ali Fazal. A very warm story with pathos and panache and a great supporting cast. Could be Judi''s best performance yet!!

Went to see this last night. Well put together and so funny in parts. Well worth going to see. Judi Dench is fabulous and so smitten with Abdul who was a good actor too.
